Whitestar Kiln Dried Sand

Whitestar Kiln Dried Sand is a high-quality, lime-free, washed silica sand that has been kiln dried to ensure a consistently dry and free-flowing product. It contains approximately 95% silica, with a typical grain size of ≤ 0.5mm, making it ideal for precision joint filling.

One 20kg bag of Whitestar Kiln Dried Sand will cover approximately 5 square metres of standard block paving, depending on joint width and depth.

Applications

Whitestar Kiln Dried Sand is specifically produced for brushing into the joints of block paving to prevent lateral movement and maintain the stability of the paved surface.

Pallet Sizes

Whitestar Kiln Dried Sand is supplied on pallets containing 72 x 20kg plastic bags, stacked efficiently and machine-wrapped to ensure product stability and security during handling and transport.

Storage

Whitestar Kiln Dried Sand is supplied in durable, waterproof plastic packaging, allowing for outdoor storage. Bags should be stored unopened, kept clear of the ground, and maintained in cool, dry conditions. Protect from excessive draughts and all sources of moisture to preserve product quality.

Using Whitestar Kiln Dried Sand

• Use directly from the bag and brush into block paving joints using a wide, soft brush.

• For best results, compact the paving using a mechanical plate vibrator.

• Make 2–3 passes, continually brushing sand in front of the vibrator to ensure it is fully forced down between the blocks.
